Sportident is the system that within SPORT identifies participants in
different applications. The main reason for the identification is to manage the
timekeeping or to make an attendance check.
It’s all about the RFID chip that the participant carries with him during the
race.
The Sportident system consists of two main parts: the SI-card (the transponder)
and the SI-station (the reader). Read more about these parts under

Today Sportident is the market leader when it comes to orienteering and the
system is used at the biggest events in the world such as the Swedish Oringen,
Tiomila and 25manna. In addition to these three, the system is also used in
more than 35 countries around the world. Besides being used at the biggest
events, it’s also used for training and games.
Apart from being used in orienteering, the system is also used in school during
the physical training, in other sports such as triathlon, multisport, extreme
marathons, biking, ski-orienteering, car-orienteering, skating inline skating,
running, running-relays, MTB, MTB-orienteering, riding and horse driving.
Furthermore the system is used to register and identify meeting or conference

To the system there is diferent softwares depending on the intended usage, the
software includes speaker support, television and big screen support, online
controls that automaticly sends times from the controls and so on.
